Nelson is a partner in our Orange County office. Mr. Nelson’s practice emphasizes strategic patent protection, including patent prosecution and litigation. His clients include companies involved in medical, optical, semiconductor, electrical, and computer research and technologies. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Nelson externed for the Honorable Judge Randall R. Rader at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 2002, and for the Honorable Judge Dee Benson, Chief Judge, U.S. District Court for the District of Utah in 2003. During law school, Mr. Nelson served as Senior Editor of the BYU Law Review and was Vice President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association. He was a summer associate with the firm in 2001 and 2002. Mr. Nelson joined the firm in 2003 and became a partner in 2009. Education Brigham Young University, J.
