Angela has helped a wide variety of clients build and defend domestic and international intellectual property portfolios. She has experience advising clients in all aspects of intellectual property including global patent portfolio development, due diligence associated with corporate financing and acquisitions, competitive landscape analysis, and strategic structuring of IP portfolios.
In her practice, Angela provides a top-down perspective of using IP law to augment her client’s business and understands that IP acquisition and asset management is about more than just “getting a patent.” She advances her client’s goals through her deep knowledge of the USPTO rules and procedures and has extensive experience in specialized areas such as Appeal, After-Final Practices, Ex Parte proceedings, and IPRs. A talented patent prosecutor, Angela is meticulous and focused on the nuances of IP law while not losing sight of client goals.
Angela represents clients of varying sizes across a diverse range of technologies. While focusing on the medical device industry, Angela has represented clients in technologies including medical devices, biotechnology, aerospace, cosmetics, fashion, and computer technologies. Within the medical device space, Angela has worked with everyone from surgeons to large companies in the respirator, spinal, sensor, dental, cardiovascular, orthopedic, and prosthetic fields.
Having experience as an IP litigator, Angela brings unique insight and understands the importance and value of offensive and defensive competitive strategies, prelitigation dispute resolution, infringement studies, and invalidity/noninfringement opinions. Now, an aggressive patent prosecutor, Angela expertly uses a broad range of patent procedures to accomplish client goals and develop their business.
